NESA Expands to Welcome Middle Schoolers this Fall

New England School of the Arts is thrilled to announce we are expanding to include middle school grades 6-8, starting this fall! This significant step comes in response to the overwhelming interest from middle school families and aligns with our mission to nurture creative thinkers from an early age.

Expanding to include middle school students allows us to start nurturing young artistic talents earlier and provides high school students with valuable mentorship opportunities. Students will be placed in classes based on proficiency levels, ensuring personalized learning experiences. They will have access to a variety of artistic disciplines to explore and develop their interests. A typical middle school course load includes 7 classes, balancing core academics and arts electives.

Tuition for both middle school and high school is $29,500 for the 2024-2025 school year. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the summer.

This expansion follows more than a year of organizational growth and community partnership. After offering our first programming and summer camp in various community spaces, we have been fully operating out of our new space off the mall in downtown Lebanon since last fall. Our professional teen ensemble, Triple Threat Troupe, has performed at various events, raising funds and showcasing their talents, and our show choir, Sixth Sense, earned bronze at the New England Show Choir Showdown this spring.

This spring we also partnered with the Lebanon Opera House and the Lebanon Rotary Club to host the Upper Valley Choral Festival, a free program in which 50 area high schoolers studied under renowned conductor Stefanie Weigand and performed for the community. And this summer, we are gearing up to host 60 local youth for six one-week summer camp sessions, and are partnering with CCBA to offer swim lessons.
