Middle School /High School Math Teacher (Part Time)
New England School of the Arts, a new private middle and high school in Lebanon, New Hampshire, seeks a part-time Math Teacher for Grades 6-12 , beginning late August 2024.
The New England School of the Arts Math Teacher approaches math instruction with an interdisciplinary approach, finding authentic ways to connect mathematical understandings to students’ artistic disciplines. About the Position
Encourage lifelong mathematical thinking and exploration for students
Develop, revise, and/or teach sixth through twelfth grade math curriculum
Collaborate with Group Teachers, Specials Teachers and Head of School to find ways to integrate instruction with other curricular subjects
Maintain an equitable and inclusive learning environment
Communicate effectively and establish strong working partnerships with families, students, colleagues, and administrators
Write reports and conduct Parent/Teacher conferences
Write math recommendations for high school applications
Attend weekly Staff Meetings
Qualifications
Developmental knowledge of and experience with middle/high school school aged children
Experience teaching math with a progressive approach
Willingness to work in close collaboration with colleagues and children
Experience with constructivist math programs
Familiarity with project-based, experiential curriculum development and instruction
Commitment to creating a culture of equity and inclusion
Effective classroom management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Math Education, or related field required
Masters Degree in Education, Math Education, or related field recommended

The New England School of the Arts Science teacher approaches science instruction with an interdisciplinary approach, finding authentic ways to connect mathematical understandings to students’ artistic disciplines. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, fostering curiosity and exploration, and actively participating in the school's academic and extracurricular initiatives such as a student science fair and family STEAM night.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in science education, is a warm and nurturing educator whose teaching is creative, progressive, student-centered, and academically engaging, and has experience teaching in middle school an/or high school classrooms.

We are now accepting application for Lead Instructors (above 18) and Counselors in Training (under 18).
