Preparing your Film and New Media Portfolio

How to Submit: Applicants should create a google drive folder and upload the required documents. The title of the folder should be your first and last name as well as the discipline you are applying for: FILM and should be shared to admissions@nesarts.org prior to the March 1st deadline (still accepting rolling admissions after this date).

Portfolio: Your portfolio should include one to three pieces of original work written or revised during the last year. For each sample include a document that describes your role, title, date, location, format. Examples of accepted supplements include:

• A screenplay or stage play excerpt of up to 10 pages

• A sample film or music video no longer than 15 minutes

• 5 to 10 photographs

• 10 visual art works

• Short fiction, piece of journalism or nonfiction narrative (up to 10 pages-not critical or expository writing)

Personal Statement: We want to get to know you. In either video or written format tell us who you are as an artist. What has contributed to making you the person you are today? What formative experiences have shaped you? Did a certain teacher influence who you are? Are there artistic experiences or classes that contributed to why you would like to delve more deeply into Film and New Media? Video submissions should be no longer than 5 minutes in length.
